By adding gas-powered engines to our medium duty lineup, Diamond Mitsubishi Fuso can now offer you the broadest range of powertrain options including gas, diesel, and electric models at our San Jose location.

Simplify your fueling and maintenance needs with one of our all-new gas models featuring the proven GM 6.0L V8 engine with 297 HP and 361 lb.-ft of torque. Because Diamond Mitsubishi Fuso understands the demands on your business, the new gas-powered medium duty cabover trucks don’t house the typical truck and passenger vehicle transmissions used by competitors. They are the first to give you a more robust commercial truck transmission with the Allison 1000 heavy-duty automatic. Designed from the ground up for use in commercial trucks, the transmission can accommodate accessories like lift gates and dispensing pumps, helping you meet your business’ unique needs. Looking to reduce carbon emissions? We will soon be offering models equipped for compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fuels.

The first Fuso trucks to be assembled in the United States, these latest additions to our vehicle inventory are manufactured at the Gaffney, South Carolina FCCC (Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation) plant, and include the following models:

• Class 5
  • FE180 (17,995 lb. GVWR)
    The first class 5 cabover with a gas-fueled engine.
